1. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of www.veritasanchor.com (the "Site"), operated by VeritasAnchor LLC ("VeritasAnchor," "we," "us," or "our"), located in Boston, Massachusetts. By accessing or using the Site, submitting a form, booking a meeting, or opting in to our text messaging program, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. ABOUT VERITASANCHOR
VeritasAnchor provides patented technology that securely links authoritative paper records to searchable, tamper-evident digital replicas, including the CartaAnchor technology platform and the PaperBallotchain election integrity solution. Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute an offer, a binding commitment, or professional advice.
3. SMS/TEXT MESSAGING TERMS
VeritasAnchor offers a text messaging program for individuals who opt in. By participating, you agree to the following terms.
- Program description. Messages from VeritasAnchor may include responses to your inquiries, meeting confirmations and reminders, follow-up communications, and service or account notifications.
- Consent and opt-in. You opt in by providing your mobile phone number through our website forms or booking system and agreeing to receive text messages, or by sending a text message to us. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or service.
- Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us.
- Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by your wireless carrier under your mobile plan. Contact your carrier for details.
- Opting out. You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send you one final SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. To rejoin, opt in again through our website or by contacting us, and we will resume sending SMS messages to you.
- Help and support. If you experience issues with the messaging program, reply with the keyword HELP for assistance, or contact us directly at info@veritasanchor.com.
- Carrier disclaimer. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is outside of our control.
Privacy. Your mobile information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
4. PERMITTED USE OF THE SITE
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or connected systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the Site
- Use automated means to scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Site without our written permission
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Site or submitting information to us
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Site and all content on it, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, are the property of VeritasAnchor LLC or its licensors and are protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. VeritasAnchor technology is protected by U.S. Patent No. 12,132,827. The VeritasAnchor, CartaAnchor, and PaperBallotchain names and logos are marks of VeritasAnchor LLC. Nothing in these Terms grants you any license or right to use our intellectual property without our prior written consent. You may view and print Site content for your own informational, non-commercial use, provided all proprietary notices remain intact.
6. SUBMISSIONS
Information you submit through our contact forms or booking system is governed by our Privacy Policy. Do not send us confidential or proprietary information through the Site unless we have requested it under a written agreement. Unsolicited submissions are received on a non-confidential basis.
7. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services, including scheduling and social media platforms. These links are provided for convenience only. VeritasAnchor does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site or service. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms and policies.
8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ON IT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. VERITASANCHOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERITASANCHOR LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
10. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VeritasAnchor LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or your violation of these Terms.
11. GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. SEVERABILITY AND ENTIRE AGREEMENT
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VeritasAnchor regarding use of the Site and supersede any prior understandings on that subject.
